What is COP26?
For nearly three decades, the United Nations has been bringing together almost every country on earth for global climate summits called Conference of the Parties (COPs). This year will be the 26th annual summit, with the UK as President, taking place in Glasgow.
In the run-up to COP26, the UK is working with every nation to reach an agreement on how to tackle climate change. More than 190 world leaders will arrive in Scotland. Joining them will be tens of thousands of negotiators, government representatives, businesses and citizens for twelve days of talks.

How are we getting involved?
Lucion Services, jointly with Delta-Simons, through the skills and expertise of our employees, aim to create real long-lasting positive change for the natural world and society, far beyond our immediate reach. Collectively, we work primarily in the environmental management sector and are committed to supporting our communities and environment through all of our business operations. We are in the process of assessing our contributions and setting targets to improve on our Environmental, Social and Governance commitments and will be sharing more on this in the near future.
Whilst world leaders work together to come up with solutions for a sustainable future, we have the responsibility to educate, activate and empower future generations. Our children carry the baton of looking after the richness and diversity of our ecosystem while adapting their lifestyle and taking responsibility to suit the needs of the planet.

We have created a resource pack for children of two age groups with a calendar of activities that they can do during their school holidays. These activities are aimed to educate children about the key issues affecting our climate and then inspire and empower them to get active on a personal level as part of the global movement of action against climate change.

For children under 10
We have created a 7-day calendar to get involved with some fun activities whilst learning more about the planet and the effects of climate change, addressing some key topics like biodiversity, sea level rising, and the greenhouse effect - but embracing these potentially heavy topics in what we hope is a fun way that all your family can get involved with.
We would really love to see how your little ones get on with this activity week. If you submit photos or content of what they get up to by the end of Sunday 12th September, we’ll arrange to send out a certificate from Lucion Services.

For young people aged 11 - 16
For children between the ages of 11 - 16, we are offering a creative opportunity to come up with an environmental project based on one of five key themes we’ve picked out from the COP 26 agenda. We’re asking them to create an idea to raise awareness about one of these important topics, and submit a poster or plan for executing their project.
We’ll select some of the most creative and relevant projects to support with funding, resources and assistance where we can. We want to empower our next generation and provide the springboard they need with their great ideas to make real, lasting change in the world.
We want to see projects that support our global action themes and they can present it through any medium (social media, short film, poster etc.). Enter the competition by submitting their fantastic content by the end of Sunday 12th September and the winners will have their projects supported by Lucion Services.
